Start with acceptance: Sweats has a purpose in your life
We get it: The urge to dress nicely and feel like yourself is creating a sharp contrast to your comfortable tights (likely Lululemon Align) and your stained sweatshirt. However, these garments fill an important function in your life and you don’t have to get rid of them.
2. Find reasons to get out of your sweats
If you don’t have a reason to get out of your sweats you, well, you really don’t have a reason to. Ensure you have appointments to go to: Go for a lunch with a friend or anything similar.
3. Choose one garment to build outfits from
Next step is to find one garment to start building effortless outfits from. Remember, you’re a mom. You likely don’t have all time in the world to decide your outfits.
A maxi skirt is a great starter garment since it can be styled in multipe ways - and maxi skirts are still very, very comfortable.
4. Get back in your sweats when you're done
If you try to build a routine where you never look back at your sweats you are putting the bar way too high. Again, sweats fill a function - and going in too hard will only create resentment toward your chic outfits.
